The idea for ICEE began in the late 1950’s when Omar Knedlik, the owner of a Dairy Queen in Coffeyville, Kansas served partially frozen soda pop out of his freezer. He pulled the bottles out of the freezer and discovered a cool new frozen drink. He served the new discovery to some of his customers and they absolutely loved it!

Today over 500 million ICEE's are sold each year. ICEE's first flavor was cola. Cola and Blue Rasberry are still two of our most popular flavors today.
